Fisher, PhD is an assistant professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He completed his doctoral studies in Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University. His PhD work focused on the use of multi-contact stimulating electrodes to restore standing function after spinal cord injury.

Dr. Fisher’s research interests involve the development of neuroprostheses to restore sensory and motor function after neural damage or disease, as well as exploration of the role of somatosensation in maintaining balance control during standing and walking.
